Welcome to Treadmark Apartments
TreadMark
stands on a site that has long been part of the Ashmont community. For decades,
it was home to a neighborhood auto shop known for its honesty, craftsmanship,
and care for the people it served. Today, that same spirit lives on in a new
form, a thoughtfully designed residential building that continues to put
community first. Every detail reflects a balance between honoring the past and
creating something meaningful for the future.
The building
includes 51 income-restricted rental homes available to households earning up
to 60% of Area Median Income (AMI). With heat and hot water included, everyday
living is made simpler. Ground-floor retail brings added convenience and keeps
the building connected to the surrounding neighborhood.
Architecturally,
TreadMark brings a modern presence to Peabody Square while staying connected to
its roots. Clean lines, durable brickwork, and industrial-inspired details
reflect the character of the former site in a fresh way. The design encourages
movement, interaction, and a sense of openness from the street to the front
door. It’s a space that feels both new and familiar at the same time.
NEIGHBORHOOD
Ashmont is more than a location, it’s a community built on diversity, history, and everyday connection. As part of Dorchester, one of Boston’s most dynamic neighborhoods, it brings together people, cultures, and stories that make the area feel alive. There’s a strong sense of pride here, shaped by both long-term residents and those just arriving. It’s the kind of place where neighbors recognize each other and local businesses become part of your routine.
TreadMark sits right by Ashmont Station, making it easy to stay connected to the rest of the city while remaining grounded in the neighborhood. Peabody Square has seen thoughtful revitalization over the years, blending new energy with its historic character. From cafés and small shops to nearby green spaces, everything feels close and accessible. Life here is about convenience, but also about belonging.
